'BLACK THROATED WIND'

Hand draped patchwork silk charmeuse bias cut dress with asymmetrical neckline and sheer paneling. I created this from the Mihitabel Estate fabrics that were left for dead, once meant to be used by Carolyn Lee at her legendary Sunset Boulevard custom shop, Mihitabel. With a dotted mesh that I believe she used to make styles for Granny Takes A Trip during her time working for them. 

Carolyn was a coveted tailor for artists such as The Eagles, Jim Croce, America, Bread, The Beach Boys, John Denver, Three Dog Night, and Sweetwater’s Nancy Nevins and Alex Del Zoppo — who later became Carolyn’s husband. 

Making pieces from her vintage fabrics has brought life into mine, and hopefully brings life to yours.
