HEALY STEALIE PATCHWORK WOVENFREE + BRC VINTAGE LEVI'S JACKET

From the Wovenfree + Bella Roi Collection Collaboration Custom Shop. This is our first chapter in the Healy Stealie GD Family Deadstock textile series.

Each jacket in this series features at least 3 original pieces of the 1980's Grateful Dead Family Deadstock Steal Your Face prototype fabric generously entrusted to us by Dan Healy's son Elric. This exact piece of satin fabric was used by the band to approve & start the GD necktie collection. It was originally woven circa 1985 {Nearly 40 years ago}. We'll be repurposing this last remaining yard until it's gone.

Each jacket also features a Levi's garment that meets the history & rarity of this Deadstock SYF fabric Dead-On. This vintage Levi's tobacco corduroy fabric is in near perfect unworn condition & is a rare gem among collectors. So we Deadicated this garment to open the Healy Stealie series. If we cannot find another, we'll email you similar vintage options.

Working with Randy and Wovenfree on making these custom jackets has been a true inspiration and always has a fun spin to each one we make. 

I arrange, cut & sew the front & back yoke patchwork, layering in choice rare vintage fabrics Randy has been collecting for decades, single needling it all together uniquely every time. Here also adding a hidden Stealie that's sewn with a Zigzag stitch. Check the photo gallery, back left shoulder.

We warranty our sewing for life. Each patchwork layout is one of a kind. No two are the same.
