BOXY CROP MIHITABEL DAISY TEE

This unique tee is carefully handmade, with a beautifully hand-sewn quilted daisy from Carolyn Lee’s 'Mihitabel' collection estate. Only a handful of these daisies were ever made, and at one time were sold individually at the Mihitable shop. 

While exploring her fabric archive and polaroids, it became clear that her talent went far beyond tie-dye, highlighting her impressive quilting and appliqué skills. This piece celebrates the creative energy of the 1960's and 70's at Mihitabel shop which was located at 3707 Sunset Blvd, which at the time was known as "The Other End Of Sunset". The art community at The Junction in Silver Lake and Echo Park, where every item was truly one of a kind.
